It was another fantastic cycling weekend, organised by Bellísima!
Young and old rode hard and battled fiercely. On Saturday the MTB race was on the programme, held through the beautiful nature reserve of Sint Joris.
The first men over the finish line were:
🥇 1e – Max Bakker
🥈 2e – Goldwynn Cannister
🥉 3e – Dennis de Bruin
In the women's race:
🥇 1e – Anneloes van den Ende
🥈 2e – Inge van Bergen
🥉 3e – Dominique Chow
On Sunday it was the road cyclists' turn. They raced on the Mijnmaatschappij terrain, where a challenging 10-kilometre course had been laid out with a turning point after 5 kilometres and several treacherous hills.
There was plenty of sweating and swearing. Some played it smart and stayed hidden in the peloton as much as possible to save their strength for the finale.
The overall result for the men was:
🥇 1e – Goldwynn Cannister
🥈 2e – Max Bakker
🥉 3e – Thom van Loo
In the women's race:
🥇 1e – Rielke Bracht
🥈 2e – Irene Nater
🥉 3e – Anneloes van den Ende
