Alba van Tartwijk announced on Instagram that she will take part in Century El Salvador by AURA in El Salvador on 8 November 2026. "Super excited to be joining @centuryelsalvador by AURA on November 8th! New country, new roads, and a whole new cycling community to meet", she wrote with her post.
In her video she explains that it is a big cycling event with three distances, so everyone can ride along at their own level. The organisers gave her a personal welcome poster: "So happy to have you in El Salvador! May you leave with new friendships and a little piece of our country in your heart".
For Alba this is a great chance to race against others outside Curaçao, on new roads and a new course. She thanks AURA for making this entry possible.
She will also be at the start line in February: Alba announced that she will race the IRONMAN 70.3 San Salvador in El Salvador on Sunday 7 February 2027. "A volcanic lake swim, challenging bike course, beautiful views, warm people, and one unforgettable finish line", she wrote with her post on Instagram, where she also shares videos of the event.
That race is a triathlon over the 70.3 distance: a 1.9 km swim in the crater lake Lake Ilopango, a 90 km bike ride and a half marathon of 21.1 km running. In her post she shares a discount code: with code ALBA you get $20 off your registration.
Want to ride along or join the triathlon yourself? For the Century there is still time to sign up via Bike Center in El Salvador, and for 7 February via the official IRONMAN page. Watch her videos on Instagram for more info and follow the event on the Century El Salvador Instagram page.
